May is coming to a shuddering end, and with it, our last hopes of being warm for the next few months as we drop into the depths of winter. Naturally, here in Sydney, it is never as bad as we make it out to be. But alas, the days feel particularly stiff as we are plunged into icy mornings and dark evenings. In our last luxury fashion favourites round up, I mentioned that we are feeling insular and dark – this is still the case.
Quiet luxury is on our minds and we are ready to be glamorous and mysterious in browns, navy's and blacks, instead of trying to combat the cold with colour (never been our style). Reflected here, are pieces that are making our hearts sing despite the season change. At Gucci Fall 23, the combination of tight, sheer, long sleeve tops and straight skirts took my mind hostage, so this is a cold season silhouette we will be replicating.
If you've been reading the site, you'll know that tights are also high on the mood board, so naturally we'll be pairing them with a sandal to show them off, the below from Celine feel perfect for a stocking as they have a closed-ish toe and ankle strap to hold us in.
Valentino has just released their rendition on the viral ballerina shoe, with their signature Rockstud touch – a punk detail that feels fitting for the mood. Add to cart. there were cotton bloomers at Chanel's Spring Summer 23 show that haven't quite left our minds since we saw them swing down the runway, and they are finally available to purchse, so consider those on the list too.
Other highlights? Riding boots from Khaite and Bomber jackets from Saint Laurent. Below, are all of our luxury fashion favourites for the month of May.
