Luxury fashion favourites July 2023: Pieces we shopped this month

If you're currently braving the Australian winter, you'll know very well that right now, it feels mighty cold and miserable. Particularly when you're watching half of the people on your following list traipse along coastlines with the glorious sun glistening off their Aegean Sea-kissed skin. Call us salty, we don't mind, because thankfully, a little dabble in some considered, retail therapy can cure just about anything – including, surprisingly, a deep longing for a month-long European adventure.

This month, there is plenty we are lusting over, and equally, a few too many pieces that have made it beyond the wishlist and into our very loving hands. It's no secret, that like many, we've been fawning over the mesh slipper trend, which was birthed inconspicuously from a now sold out Maison Alaïa iteration. Equally, Barbiecore has been occupying our headspace too, with some of this year's biggest 'it' brands leaning in. So, with so much sartorial inspiration pulling us in conflicting directions, we've stayed true to our roots for this month's curation of luxury fashion favourites.

Leaning towards staple pieces, we've opted for pieces that have the power to transport us to a holiday destination, while still firmly holding their ground on Australian shores. There's the latest colour iteration of Saint Laurent's iconic ICARE Maxi Shopping Bag, a moment for one of the most highly-coveted sunglass silhouettes, courtesy of CELINE, and a very special addition from Cartier's freshly-debuted Grain de Café collection – for those who are looking to step-up their jewellery game.
