Cover star Zinnia Kumar is a model on a mission, who believes her purpose on this earth is to leave it in a better place than when she arrived. A vocal activist against colourism and racism, she is a voice for marginalised communities both in the fashion industry and the globe at large. If she wasn't a model, she'd be a conservation ecologist. Enter the 'it-girl' ensemble of 2022: the Miu Miu skirt set. Miuccia Prada says the piece stems from researching reality and reworking timeless garments into new iterations. And while looking to the past in order to conceive the future isn't a new prospect for fashion, Prada's conceptualisation of early-2000s silhouettes reimagined as contemporary streetwear is a freshness akin to Kumar herself.
