Lucy Folk of her eponymous design-froward brand is expanding her ever-growing offering, with the opening of her second Sydney store on the covetable William St in Paddington. Home to the haunts we frequent most: 10 William St, Bess, and Tamsin Johnson, it is here where Folk's new residency will be bookended by the latter two.
Collaborating on the space – which will be open to the public from November 11 – with long time friend and interior designer Tamsin Johnson, the two took a journey together from the stores conception, with motifs rooted in the ever-evolving yet consistently distinguishable Lucy Folk world. The palette is warm with buttery yellows, rich Mojave and Ginger... accented with signature LF textures, design elements, and hardware. The store walls are applied by hand by a dear Frenchman in the same finish as Folk’s Pink Cave PLAYA but this time they are a soft ecru. A nice tie into their last store and a nod to the Lucy Folk experience we know so well and love.
In tandem with the retail experience, the space will also offer a bespoke salon dedicated to working on one-off pieces from Lucy Folk's jewellery offering with master jeweller, Craig Spark. Customers will be invited to sit atop French Brutalist chairs sourced by Johnson to work on a custom tabletop by Lex Williams. Downstairs, an open courtyard will entice for a moment of pause to peruse an edit of books curated by Good Publishings in the sunshine.
It is a setting to inspire and discover. As with so much of Folk's offering, it expands beyond the ready-to-wear aspects of her world and trickles into living and lifestyle. Come in and stay a while, the sun is warm on this side of town...
Lucy Folk's new location, 31 William St, Paddington, will be open from Thursday 11th of November, 2021.
