Nomadic resort wear and accessories brand Lucy Folk has come together with Levi’s to recreate the iconic Trucker Jacket, made to become a treasured wardrobe staple. Adorned with elements borrowed from the past ushered into the future, the piece features the attention to detail inherent to the Lucy Folk brand.
The reimagined Trucker Jacket is delicately embroidered with organic cotton sleeves in shades of Bleu, Chama and Saffron, featuring Lucy Folk motifs down both arms including the Utopian alphabet and the Eos key graphic. Anchoring the piece are Anchovy texture collar tips, mantra beads and the staple Lucy Folk birthstone symbol dangling beside the Levi’s Red Tab.
“It felt special to rework the Levi’s iconic Trucker and create something very wearable with signature Lucy Folk metal detailing,” said Folk herself of the partnership. “The inspiration came from the symbology of our recent collections and hand-embroidered techniques of the Utopian Alphabet and Eos key graphic.
The partnership implores shoppers to ask how they want to wear their denim, and where it may take them while draped in it. As a versatile material known for its durability and trans seasonal appeal, a denim jacket becomes a mainstay in a wardrobe to be rotated frequently throughout the year. As jewellery and denim become more of you the more they are lived in, the partnership is a natural extension of both brand identities.
“There was an intimacy when creating this piece, so the wearer can have a sensory experience when wearing these pieces,” Folk continued. “There is also a little western influence with the handmade collar tip. This is probably my favourite element of the jacket.”
The Lucy Folk x Levi’s Trucker Jacket will be available from April 28th in store at Levi’s Emporium store, Lucy Folk boutiques in Sydney and Melbourne and online from both brands.
