Stop the presses: Pamela Anderson is writing a book. And not just any old paperback or children's title or cookbook or collection of poetry. No, the actor has written a memoir entitled Love, Pamela about her life "as a mother, as an activist, and as an actress", per her latest Instagram post.
According to its publishers, Harper Collins, Love, Pamela follows Anderson's story from getting "discovered in the stands during a Canadian football game" where "she was quickly launched into superstardom, becoming Playboy’s favorite covergirl and an emblem of Hollywood glamour and sex appeal".
The best part? Unlike Pam & Tommy, which was a story about exploitation (but not for the reasons its creators like to think), this retelling of Pamela Anderson's history comes straight from Anderson herself. No co-writers, no studio trying to capitalise off of female pain or rehash the past for the umpteenth time.

Just as Anderson is teaming up with Netflix to work on a documentary detailing her past experiences with sexual trauma, exploitation and life in Hollywood more broadly, it's clear this upcoming book is another move to regain agency over her own story. And let me tell you, we have all hitched our wagons to the cause while wearing our "Team Pamela" t-shirts.
Considering that Lindsay Lohan is making her return to the big screen, Paris Hilton is walking the runway for Versace at Milan Fashion Week and Britney is also penning her own memoir, we're glad to see the much-maligned women of the noughties get the vindication arc they deserve.
Love, Pamela is available to pre-order now at Harper Collins ahead of its release date on January 31, 2023.
