It's been four whole days since fashion darling and stylist Lotta Volkova sent us into a complete meltdown after dropping her new collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier. In recent years, where the runways have wavered between oversized, street style and normcore, Volkova has injected fashion with a new energy. She was the architect behind that Miu Miu runway look (with Miuccia Prada of course) and graced us with the sexy cherry goth moment at Blumarine. Now, she's teamed up with fashion's enfant terrible, bundling sex, fetish, and most importantly the archives into one delicious ready-to-wear collection.

So what of this collection? You may have already clocked the slinky nude dresses on your Instagram feed, which immediately sold out upon their release. They're a riff on Gaultier's 1984 nude trompe l’oeil dress. And of course, there's the reinterpretation of the forever iconic cone bra and dress from Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 1984. This time around, in a velvet mauve and black and mint green silk. Also available are shimmery long sleeves, redolent of Jean Paul Gaultier's tattoo shirt, with stocking seams.

When speaking of the partnership in a post on Instagram, Volkova said, "It was an incredible honor to be able to discover the archives, obsess and fetishize - reimagine the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier collections in the context of 2022 reintroducing them into a contemporary wardrobe".
"My purpose was to capture the quintessence of Jean Paul Gaultier and make it available to the modern fashion audience," she continued.
