An ode to holidays (sigh) and to the magic light that’s so typical of the French Riviera. Chanel presents The Making Of campaign film for the Cruise 2020/21 collection Balade en Méditerranée, starring Lily-Rose Depp.
The film goes behind the scenes of the shoot of the campaign photographed by Karim Sadli and featuring the solar beauty of Lily-Rose Depp. The house muse and Chanel ambassador notes, “As well as for a vacation, this collection is very easy to wear in your daily life. It's very wearable and effortlessly chic.” The actress continues, “What I think is really special is that everything is so mix-and-matchable.”

Shot in June in an incredible estate near Paris, the behind-the-scenes film showcases Depp hanging via balcony tops, surrounded by a sea of luscious greenery and luxuriously bathing poolside in the golden sun whilst wearing her favourite Cruise 2020/21 collection pieces.
"I really want to take this collection with me on vacation to the French Riviera… It’s really something that makes me want to be by the water and get a tan."

As the film continues, Lily-Rose Depp emphasises her love for her favoured tweed outfits, as well as the little basket bags and the sunglasses – all perfect pairings for summer holiday. She also reveals her admiration for creative director Virginie Viard, “I adore her. She has an elegance and a grace about her that’s very characteristic of the Chanel woman. It’s evident in everything she does.”
