Apples Never Fall is the latest addition to the authors seemingly endless list of published titles. But, what on earth is it about, you ask? As with most of Moriarty's books, Apples Never Fall is shrouded in that same air of sticky, craggy mystery and tension. We are first introduced to the Delaney family as they imagine themselves. Former tennis coaches, Joy and Stan have just sold their family business and are finally leaning into the joys of being empty nesters. Their four children are busy with their own lives, too busy it seems to have noticed the cracks in their parents marriage. Suddenly Joy disappears and the children are left reeling, unable to reconcile their own vision of their family with the all too painful reality. As the story unravels, family history, mysterious house guests and delusion are all picked apart in order to unearth Joy's whereabouts.
