Ever since the first sun-flared water droplet hit the lens, photographers have been moved to capture ‘generations of sun worshippers enjoying the piscine’ at Paris’ most famous aquatic institution turned hotel: Piscine Molitor. This summer, luxury swimwear label Commas, in collaboration with photographer Alex Tracey, presents A Day At Piscine Molitor - a black and white photo diary created on the man-made shores of the famous swim spot. Playing tribute to Gilles Rigoulet’s famed pool-side series, the exhibition captures locals wearing Commas SS 19 collection as they soak up the European heat and history; their location of choice being the birthplace of the modern bikini. 24 hours is hardly enough.
A Day At Piscine Molitor is exhibiting at Jerico Contemporary from December 19 through January 12.
