If there's one thing we know for certain about Olivia Colman, it's that the woman has range. From royal family shenanigans spanning multiple eras, to her most recent and upcoming film role in The Lost Daughter, there's not much she can't do. After moving on from The Crown, Colman has landed her next role; starring in the thrilling new true-crime drama series, Landscapers.
The four-part series has been inspired by real events, documenting the seemingly ordinary lives of Christopher and Susan Edwards. That is, of course, until the mild-mannered English couple become the focus of a major investigation after spending years in hiding.
Although we're totally down for the storyline and to see Colman on our screens again; one of our favourite things about Landscapers is that the series has actually been written by Ed Sinclair, Colman's husband. It also marks his very first TV screenplay, and is being co-produced by HBO and Sky; with Colman also onboard as executive producer.
A tale of power and the peril of love, Landscapers asks just how far would you go for the person you love? Below, everything you need to know about the upcoming series.

What is Landscapers about?
Directed by Will Sharpe, Landscapers follows couple Susan and Christopher Edwards; who have been on the run from reality for over 15 years. Despite their many years in hiding, Christopher makes an unexpected call home to his step-mother; a decision that resurfaced their involvement in a terrible crime that had remained undiscovered for over a decade. As their relationship is subjected to the glare of a full police investigation, the devoted couple are separated for the first time in their marriage.
The official synopsis, released by Sky continues; "As the investigation moves forward, inspired by Susan’s obsession with old Westerns and classic cinema, the fantasists cast themselves as Hollywood heroes in narratives of their own invention. Powered by Susan’s extraordinary imagination, Susan and Chris’s fantasy world provides a much-needed sanctuary from real-world horrors and their own clawing guilt, but also threatens to undo them completely. "
Who has been cast in the series?
Colman is taking the lead as Susan, with David Thewlis (Fargo, Big Mouth), starring opposite as her husband Christopher. Kate O'Flynn (Bridget Jones's Baby) also joins the cast as DC Emma Lancing, Dipo Ola (We Hunt Together) as Douglas Hylton, Susan's solicitor and Samuel Anderson (The History Boys) as DC Paul Wilkie amongst others.
Is there an official release date for the Landscapers series yet?
Unfortunately, there's no official trailer yet for the Landscapers series, but rumour has it that its set to premiere in the UK later this year. We don't have details yet on the roll-out of the series Down Under, but knowing HBO, we won't be kept waiting. Stay tuned for more information to come.
