There is a very special place in my heart for King Princess, or Mikaela Straus, as her closest know her (which isn't me, sadly).
Aside from her ability to make absolute crackers of tunes, there's something about her unabashed, carelessly youthful internet presence that pleases me. Perhaps it's her lack of care for how she looks on her Instagram page, instead of prioritising imagery that appears glamourous and inaccessible, she posts things that a regular person in their early twenties might post. Amongst so much media garbage her content always feels refreshing and authentic and joyful.

But we're not here to talk about whether Straus is okay with looking frazzled on her Instagram, we're here to talk about the fact that every time she wears a sports bra and track pants, I find myself also wanting to wear a sports bra and track pants.

Her ability to look like a hot backstreet boy is truly unparalleled, and the way she shows up for all the queers out there by consistently putting her best androgynous foot forward is applaudable.

Pairing stripped back white tank tops with a signature Tiffany chain is the vibe we are here for, a true marriage of high-low. She often finishes off looks with a backwards cap which is both extremely alluring, and makes me yearn to be able to pull off something that is so ultimately indicative of BDE. An energy I could only dream to posses.

Safe to say, IMO Straus has low-fi street style in the bag. Minimal hype with high impact, which is exactly what I'm signing up for. Mixing butch and femme is no easy feat, but it's clear she's doing something right. BRB while I hit up Calvin Klein and pop off to buy waterproof Adidas pants I will never actually be able to seriously wear.
