Kevyn Aucoin is a brand that does not tend to launch too many new products. It's a brand so very unlike the new wave of makeup brands, some which seemingly launch something new every week. Similar to Pat McGrath Labs, Kevyn Aucoin has always been a brand focused on high-quality and considered product lines.
So, when we do see a new product from Kevyn Aucoin, it’s something to be excited about. And we are certainly intrigued by the brand’s latest creation, a sheer foundation called Stripped Nude Skin Tint.
This product is the fourth addition to the brand’s complexion portfolio, following on from the Etherealist Skin Illuminating Foundation - a highly rated, medium coverage product. This new iteration, the Skin Tint is designed to be a much lighter option with a sheer coverage.
Kevyn Aucoin shared news that this latest foundation product is now up and ready for purchase on Instagram and explained a little bit about the new formula.
“It's here! Our new Stripped Nude Skin Tint is a sheer, lightweight foundation that blurs imperfections for a natural, even finish. Coverage so light and sheer, shades can be worn across many skin tones for a second skin look.”
This formula is not just about coverage, it’s been designed with skincare in mind too. It’s infused with Butterfly Bush Flower Extract, an antioxidant to protect against free radical damage from blue light - like the light from our computers and phones. The formula also has hyaluronic acid to help your skin stay hydrated and plump.
The Stripped Nude Skin Tint comes in 10 shades and is available online at Kevyn Aucoin or eventually through Australian retailer MECCA. We’ll be very interested to see what this new product is like. We adore other tint style products like the Skin Tint from Glossier, so it will be interesting to see if this is another product to become a staple in our beauty bags.
