Is Justin Bieber “shaking off the hate” and releasing new music? Fans think so

It's been nearly four years since Justin Bieber last blessed us with a new album, but all that looks set to change. The singer, 30, is in the midst of an unusually active streak on Instagram, leading fans to believe that something's cooking, musically speaking.

Yesterday alone, Bieber shared three separate photo dumps to the social media platform, taken during what appears to be a trip to the Colorado, alongside his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their baby, Jack. This flurry of activity alone was enough to get fans' hopes up, with several sounding off in the comment sections. "Aw yeah my mans is upppppp to something," one user wrote, while another added, "announce a comeback we've already figured it out."

But it's what Bieber posted to Instagram Stories that really has us talking. In one video, taken from the back of a car, new music by Bieber plays in the background. The stripped-back sound has lyrics like ”Okay, okay, okay I’m shaking off the hate," sung by none other than Bieber himself. Naturally, this set us into a certified frenzy, leaving one question on everyone's minds: Is Justin Bieber gearing up to release his seventh album? Let's investigate.

Will Justin Bieber release a 7th album?

If you need a refresher, Bieber's last album was Justice, which was released via Def Jam Records in March, 2021. Fast forward to August, 2023, and Bieber split with his long-time and controversial manager, Scooter Braun. That same year, he sold his musical catalog for USD$200 million.

But according to Hype Beast, this could all have been part of a calculated ploy to stage a comeback, with the outlet reporting that Bieber is in the process of hiring new representation, with a goal to return to recording and, possibly, performing.

Add in Bieber's newly-shared Instagram images, and it really seems like the singer is up to something. Some fans have even pointed out that several of the images recently shared by Bieber look eerily like album cover art. Strengthening this theory, the snaps in question were taken by Canadian photographer Rory Kramer, who also shot the cover of Justice... Coincidence? We'll certainly be watching (and listening) to find out.
