Hello, July! You've approached alarmingly fast. While everyone and their aunt Patricia is in Europe wearing tiny dresses and drinking chilled wine into the wee hours of the morning on the Italian coastline, we are not. Unfortunately, we also can't stop thinking of what we'd wear if we were, so this month's fashion favourites round up is thematically a mess.
Generally when compiling these pieces, I have a strong inkling of how I want to be dressing during that particular month, but my current winter wardrobe is shamefully confused. I have not spent any time investing in knitwear, coats, new warm pants, or anything of the sort. Rather, I've been cold and basic and thinking about how I'd rather be wearing a white cotton dress in Florence. The heart wants what the heart wants!
The aftermath has led me here, with a mishmash of pieces that mostly do not make sense together but scratch the dream-fuelled itch in my summer-fixed pea brain. It's a relentless loop and I cannot break away. There are certain pieces that would work for winter, like a knit skirt from Tank Air that could be layered with stockings and boots. Or a hooded knit bodysuit from Coperni that just looks like a very cozy option. There is a Christopher Esber cardigan that will keep only your extremities warm, and Ottolinger's Signature Wrap Jeans provide at least a bit of coverage. Everything else is just a case of wishful thinking and/or future planning and I will not be able to elaborate further. From me to you, happy shopping! These are our July fashion favourites.
