Julia Fox steps into the shoes of a sapphic in her latest film venture ‘Perfect’

By her own mouth, Julia Fox is a lesbian. She's also a number of many other things, including breakout star of Uncut Gems, a New York Times bestseller, and an acerbic truthteller who is unabashedly telling it as it is. Enshrined in lyric form in Charli's Brat outtake 360, being 'So Julia' is a state of being many wish to attain, but only seldom can. After all, it takes a certain gravitas to Now, what's our resident It Girl up to next? Living her truth through film. We've caught wind of Julia's latest venture, and boy does it look like a doozy.

Below, this is everything you need to know about Julia Fox's upcoming film 'Perfect'.

What is the film about?

Perfect will take place at a dilapidated lakeside resort in the heart of the Californian rolling hills. Climate change has been irreversible, and the water supply has been contaminated beyond repair. Our lady Fox takes on the role of a wealthy, expecting mother who falls in love with a younger woman. Their sudden relationship will test the parameters of an upcoming birth, turbulent social events and clashing ideologies about the changing world they inhabit.

Who will be starring alongside Fox?

In the film, she will star alongside Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and upcomer Micaela Wittman. The rest of the cast has yet to be confirmed. Lio Mehiel (Mutt) and Debi Mazar (Younger, Goodfellas) are purported to join the cast.

Who will be producing the film?

Millicent Hailes, who has previously directed music videos for artists such as Adam Lambert, Lil Yachty and Young Thug, will be directing the film in her feature debut.  MacKenzie Monroe, Liz Cardenas, Douglas Riggs, Tyler Payne will produce, while Fox will serve as executive producer with Kari Skogland. Nathan Scherrer and Tara Sheree of Freenjoy Productions (Jennifer Lopez – This Is Me… Now: The Love Story) will also produce along with Douglas Riggs and Tyler Payne of Steak and Rosé and Liz Cardenas (A Ghost Story). Production is due to begin next month.

When will the film release?

As production is in very early stages, we have received no word as to when we'll get to see Fox roll out her sapphic tendencies. However, once we get word, we'll let you know.
