If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that BLACKPINK’s Jennie is the ultimate Chanel girl. Her electrifying attitude, sophisticated taste and the uncompromising ease of which she enters a room is what sets her apart. Even in black and white, she has mastered the ability to bring a vibrancy that cannot be denied; and her latest appearance in Chanel’s Coco Neige 2021/22 campaign video speaks for itself.
Following on from the announcement that the South Korean artist had been heralded as the face of Coco Neige – the House's collection designed for winter sports – we have now been treated to a brand new video which sees Jennie move between sport and style with an agile grace.
Jennie sports signature pieces in technical materials from the outset; including a jacket embellished with double Cs, trousers printed with the letters of CHANEL, an immaculate ski suit, a long pearl-grey down jacket with a removable hood and a parka with a masculine/feminine spirit. We haven't always seen ourselves as the quintessential ski girl; but with Jennie leading the way, it's impossible to not want to wear these pieces on and off the slopes.
Speaking on the release of the new Chanel Coco Neige video, Jennie shared, “It was amazing to see how Virginie Viard brought elegance into ski wear, because you want to look like you're having the best time skiing, but also tell people that you didn't lose your edge.”
Of course, no Chanel look would be complete without the right touch of accessories, and certainly takes these final touches seriously. Sporting a mixture of small bags worn high on the arm and metal necklaces dangling with card holders or a headphone case; the Chanel Coco Neige accessories are just as much about form as they are function.
In addition to the eye-catching video, Jennie also sat down with Chanel for an in conversation piece on the new collection; where she talks about Coco Neige 2021/22 and her favourite pieces from the collection. You can watch the full video, below.
The Chanel Coco Neige collection will be available in boutiques from October 19th 2021.
