Fashion has a fever for fiery locks and none wear it as well as Jennie from BLACKPINK. On April 10, the singer and rapper slid onto our Instagram feeds sporting the new 'do, signalling that the red hair renaissance is officially upon us.
Of course, there are many interpretations on the colour red. There's strawberry blonde and copper, deep auburn and rusty almost-browns. But for her own debut, Jennie has swapped out her raven-toned locks for a warm amber shade.

Upon announcing it to her loyal 65.2 million strong following, Jennie playfully said, "don't talk to me or my new hair". Are we in our bad girl Jennie era? More importantly, is this sudden change in style a hint that we could be expecting another solo album? We sure do hope so.
In the pictures, Jennie appears with her sweeping ginger locks, wearing a simple black cotton Calvin Klein tee and high-waisted Calvin Klein denim. A delightfully low key outfit and a natural choice given her role as ambassador to the brand. Her makeup is just as simple, with a fresh base and a soft pink lip. At the corner of the frame, a trio of orange blooms come into focus. Not even nature can resist our BLACKPINK girlies — coordinating their petals with Kim's mop of hair.
Jennie from BLACKPINK joins a long lineup of fashion It Girls calling their colourists and pivoting to red. So far we've witnessed Gigi Hadid lean into the hue, along with Euphoria angels Barbie Ferreira, Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya, as well as Lourdes Leon and yes, even Kendall Jenner. There's no doubt here that Jennie is our official new favourite. Now all we're wondering is who will be next to carry the copper baton? My vote is Emma Corrin.
