Over the past two years we've certainly grown accustomed to seeing Jennie from BLACKPINK draped in Chanel. As an ambassador of the french fashion house and owing to her recent appointment as the global face of Coco Neige, this phenomenon is easily explained. Still, we don't think we'll ever tire of witnessing the energy and edge Jennie injects into the Maison. And once again we are reminded of this following her long-awaited presence at Chanel's spring/summer 2022 show.
Poised in the front row, of course, we caught sight of Jennie Kim dressed head-to-toe in Chanel sitting alongside fellow ambassadors Lily-Rose Depp and Kirsten Stewart. She wore a vermillion-coloured cropped vest with a matching mini-skirt in Chanel's signature tweed bouclé fabric. Dotted along the vest were three buttons embellished with Chanel's interlocking 'C' motif. Jennie accessorised with a sliver and pearl choker, a drop pearl necklace featuring the double 'C' pendant, along with a double string of pearls belted around her waist and a perylene-red diamond-quilted handbag. Her look was rounded off with black peep-toe pumps fastened at the ankle with dinky bows. Overall Jennie was emulating a Flaming Hot Cheeto and looking every bit the spicy snack she is. Naturally, we gobbled it up - we're only human.

Following on the from the show, Chanel posted Jennie on its Instagram grid, along with other muses Lily-Rose Depp, Quannah Chasinghorse-Potts, Rebecca Dayan and Alma Jodorowsky, for a campaign showcasing the SS/22 collection shot by iconic photography duo Inez and Vinoodh.

We must admit, we've been anticipating an appearance from Jennie at Paris Fashion Week ever since we heard that all members of BLACKPINK would be attending the festivities. Now that we've glimpsed Jennie, as well as her BLACKPINK bandmates Jisoo and Rosé at the Dior and Saint Laurent shows respectively, all we need is a public sighting of Lisa who is still riding the high of her first solo debut. Although, if it happens we don't expect it will be due to her role as a collaborator with Celine, as the fashion house appears not to have a slot on the Paris Fashion Week schedule. Anyhow, we'll be enjoying the Instagram snippets of BLACKPINK's time in Paris while it lasts, desperately wishing that this was the alternate universe where we'd be living it up with them.
