Who do you want to be? That's the question many of us find ourselves asking as we sift through our wardrobes. It's the New Year and while we won't kid ourselves into thinking that means "new me", a blank slate does provide an opportunity to reimagine our style. Maybe you've even set a resolution when it comes to approaching fashion.
If that resolution is no new clothes, then this is your cue to look away. For others, that might be to tune out of trends and get in touch with your own tastes or have a good hard think before you jump on any much-hyped collabs. Other promises are much more straightforward. Are you determined to rehaul your wardrobe basics? Have you made a resolution to inject more whimsy into your daily outfits? Ample food for thought.
In the meantime, we're bringing you a lineup of garments that we're thinking about this month – our fashion favourites for January 2024. We're doing our best to move away from coquette-inspired styles, but we can't deny the joy of baby pink. Nor can we refuse the allure of Coperni's forthcoming sneaker collaboration with Puma (we hate to break promises so early in the year...)
It might be summer in Australia but that doesn't mean we have to reject big stompy boots; we love this style from Moldova-based brand Fidan Novruzova (although we might hold out until the brand's Kaia Thong Boot drops).
Otherwise it's business as usual. We appreciate Rejina Pyo's crisp cargo pants, and envision wearing them into the office as we schlep back after the holidays carrying the suede lime green Teresa Tote from Yu Mei on our shoulder. As for the rest of our fashion favourites from January 2024? Keep scrolling.
