As the year draws to a close, a night of art and fashion is just what we need.
The end of November calls for the National Gallery of Victoria and its most anticipated event for art and fashion lovers alike – the annual NGV Gala. In its third year running, the gallery invites its friends and industry collaborators to celebrate a year of art, and exclusively preview the gallery’s upcoming summer exhibition, most notably the monumental Keith Haring | Jean-Michel Basquiat: Crossing Lines exhibition, which opened this week.
The guest list that was a piece of art in itself, including April Rose Pengilly and Stanislava Pinchuk, musicians Warren Ellis and Courtney Barnett, 80s hip hop legends Salt-N-Pepa, Kylie Kwong and Stefano Manfredi, the Jagger sisters and RUSSH cover muse Gemma Ward – who says the Met Gala is the only place to celebrate the collision of art and fashion?
