She just became the most followed Korean actress in history after her breakout role in the viral Netflix thriller series, Squid Game rose to meteoric success. Now, she has just been announced as the newest ambassador for Louis Vuitton, but before her role as North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok, a skilled pickpocket who joins the games to earn money to support her younger brother and reunite them with their mother, who is in North Korea, she was an international model whose career saw her on the runways of Fendi, Chanel, Miu Miu and more. She has been a runway regular since 2016

Back in 2016, the actor and model made her runway debut as a Louis Vuitton exclusive, before starring in the House's Pre-Fall campaign in 2017. “I immediately fell in love with Hoyeon’s great talent and fantastic personality,” said creative director Nicolas Ghesquière on the brands decision to bring HoYeon Jung on as a House ambassador. “and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey”.

“It is an honour to start my acting career with Louis Vuitton, the brand I have modelled for. I look forward to all the moments with Louis Vuitton as a global ambassador.” HoYeon Jung added.

Since her runway debut in 2016, which came shortly after a stint on Korea's Next Top Model Jung went on to walk for Acne, Lanvin, Giambattista Valli, and Paco Rabanne to name a few.

She is committed to her acting career

According to Jung, working hard is the most important part of her new career. "I don't have any goals as an actress. I want to improve every day and maintain a steady pace without ever losing my resolve to work hard. I may waver a lot, but I'll work really hard and keep going." Jung explained when asked by Herald POP of her acting goals.

She is tight with Jennie from BLACKPINK

Apparently, her and BLACKPINK megastar, Jennie, are close friends. When on set for Squid Game, Jennie paid Jung a visit to support her, and sent a coffee truck out to the set to show support.
