6 looks from Mens Week we’re styling for Autumn

mens week aw23

The Autumn Winter 2023 season of Menswear only ended about a week ago, but already feels a distant memory with the way it bled into Couture Week. We're only just catching up, and even though we've rounded up all of our favourite shows from the week, we didn't quite give ourselves a chance to absorb the impeccable styling that always comes with the mens shows.

For those who prefer a masculine silhouette, Mens Week is arguably one of the most inspirational by way of styling. At Bode, we saw old American glamour and Cape Cod prep take on a new meaning, while trailblazers like Martine Rose and Grace Wales Bonner gave us a lesson in mixing textures and sensibilities. At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello's stunningly beautiful and fluid display of a men's wardrobe left a chiffony taste in the mouth, while Fendi proved a point with sheer knitwear. And at Prada? While everyone was looking at the collars, I was focussed on the neck pouches tucked away into suiting. Below, are the styling cues from Mens Week that we'll be referencing with the change of the season (hopefully not for a while). Check back in when the temperature drops!

Bode

Bode AW23

So the perfect outfit does exist after all...

There are seldom things cooler than Emily Bode's namesake brand at the moment, and this relaxed, slightly bohemian (dare I say) take on a simple outfit formula has me by the throat. Buttery perfection. Until the real deal is released, we'll be indulging in this Marni sweater, Wales Bonner Track Pants, and CO Glove Loafers as substitutes.

Fendi

Fendi AW23

Sheer perfection! At Fendi's AW23 Men's show, the focal point was open knit mohair sweaters and relaxed tailoring. A knotted belt adds the perfect touch, and we're looking to this Prada jumper for the knitwear aspect and aBlack Leather Croc Belt from Maison Margiela for the same effect.

Martine Rose

Martine Rose AW23

Shearling Jackets have been making a comeback for a while now, but for AW23 Martine Rose proved why. This is business casual meets vintage street style, and it is perfect. To emulate, Acne Studios comes through with the jacket, while Blue Sky Inn does a good job at offering a shirt with colour. For the tie? Prada has some of the best in the market.

Prada

Prada AW23

As mentioned, I am unable to get this little bag looped around the neck and under the jacket out of my head, and have decided it is the new perfect way to accessorise interestingly without detracting from a classic suit. For the perfect jacket, look no further than Prada, naturally, and A.P.C has some pretty good pouch options.

Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent Men's AW23

Evening wear takes on a new meaning in Anthony Vaccarello's menswear world, and we couldn't be more on board. Accentuate your Pussy Bow with oversized silver bangles like these from Jil Sander and AGMES and one can be sure to nail the look.

Wales Bonner

Ah, Grace, your ability to expertly mix textures and genres knows no bounds. For playing in the space between sporty masculine silhouettes and soft skirts, Wales Bonner never misses. Both Tracksuit Jumper and skirt are from previous seasons, while the shoe can be likened to these from Miu Miu.
