There are some beauty releases we simply can't wait for, and like a breath of fresh air, one of our favourite luxury French brands has delivered just that [literally] . In welcome news, Hermès is expanding its beauty roster to include Plein Air. A new range of complexion enhancing products, inspired by the freshness and light of the great outdoors.

Following on from the the launch of Rouge Hermès (lips) and Rose Hermès (cheeks), this latest venture is an interesting turn from the experimental colour and brightness, and instead focuses on enhancing the natural surface of the skin.

What is Hermès Plein Air?

Loosely translated, Plein Air refers to 'fresh air' and taking one look at the launch you can see why this is the case. Consisting of a Complexion Balm, Radiant Matte Powder, Radiant Glow Powder and Blotting Papers, the range is a welcome example of the Hermès ethos the brand's history that honours the free, active lifestyle of women.

Artistic Director Pierre-Alexis Dumas went on to say this about the launch;

“He [Hermès] created clothes that enabled women to participate in outdoor sports, to travel, drive a car and even fly an aeroplane. Hermès Plein Air is entirely consistent with this approach, revealing the natural beauty of women through their freedom.”.

What can we expect of the range?

While there is much to be excited about with this four part range it's the natural enhancing complexion balm that is bringing a lot of excitement. Made as a featherlight, hydrating formula, it is enriched with hyaluronic acid, evening primrose oil, baikal skullcap and white mulberry to nourish and illuminate the complexion. The range is available in 12 complimentary shades, leaving a sheer veil of coverage with 8+ hours of wear.
