Be still our beating hearts because Harry Styles is returning to Australia in 2023 for his Love On Tour concert. Fresh of the back of his dazzling Coachella set, the Brit announced his return to our sunburnt country for an early 2023 tour, only months after ticket holders for his 2020 shows were refunded.
Perhaps a sign of the times (forgive us) that life is returning so relative normalcy, the Love On Tour 2023 series of concerts will follow the release of Styles’ third solo album, Harry’s House, which is releasing on May 20. Recorded through 2020 and 2021 across three countries (Britain, America and Japan), Styles has previously cited that lockdowns gave him space to “think about who I am and who I want to be away from music.”
Much like his self-titled debut and second release, Fine Line, we’re expecting a throng of boppy tunes and the odd self-reflective, pensive melody (we’re looking at you, From The Dining Table). With first single As It Was leading us to believe Styles has entered his Pat-Benatar-New-Order era of music, we’re expecting a variety of synth-pop tracks, interpolated with a distinctly Styles edge – the kind of tracks that will ensure his Australian tour is made for dancing.
When is Harry Styles returning to Australia?
Good things come to those who wait, and while we have been patiently waiting since 2020 to glimpse the man himself on stage, we do have a little longer to go. The Love On Tour shows are scheduled for early 2023, visiting the east coast and Perth (apologies to Adelaide, those wineries didn’t quite catch Styles’ eye) at the following locations and dates:
- Perth: HBF Park, Monday February 20
- Melbourne: Marvel Stadium, Friday February 24
- Gold Coast: Metricon Stadium, Tuesday February 28
- Sydney: Accor Stadium, Friday March 3
