Sabato De Sarno's novel vision of a contemporary Gucci is one of refined elegance and sophistication; endorsing craft at the fore of its ethos.
For the pages of our 'Life' issue, model Lily Vander Meeden channels the allure of the Italian fashion House's Spring Summer 24 collection in front of Jess Ruby James's lens. Styled by Charlotte Agnew, the collection feels youthful and pared-back, latent with the House codes and De Sarno hallmarks that have already become key signifiers of this new era of Gucci.
Horsebit loafers – this season lifted onto sky-high platforms – and snake-skinned ultra-minis are remedied by the casual nature of slouchy denim and ribbed tanks. And of course, there's the through-line of De Sarno's new signature hue for the House – Gucci Rosso Ancora – a deep oxblood red manifesting in the Gucci Jackie Notte bag, embellished with gold chain, and in deep V-neck mini dresses indicative of the savoire-faire of spring.
