We don’t mean to alarm you, but Glossier looks set to release the scent of the summer. Rumours went into overdrive that the cult beauty brand was adding to their inimitable perfume offering, after Glossier shared a series of cryptic posts to social media. Not long after, beauty news account TRENDMOOD appeared to confirm the news, even sharing details of the scent notes (spoiler alert: it sounds delicious).
Of course, if the speculation turns out to be true, it will be brands first new scent since 2017, when they launched their debut – and wildly popular – perfume, Glossier You.

What is the new Glossier perfume called?
According to TRENDMOOD, the scent in question is called 'You Rêve,' and is a play on the much-loved original 'You' formula.
What does the new Glossier You Rêve perfume smell like?
The outlet also shared that the scent will include notes of ambroxan, plum butter, sandalwood, and toasted almond, and described it as "perfect for the gourmand lover who prefers a subtle, skin-like scent." According to TRENDMOOD, the perfume is an "energising upgrade" to the OG Glossier You scent — a theory seemingly reinforced by the bottle itself, which features the same iconic thumb print indentation as the first fragrance. Unlike Glossier You, however, Glossier Rêve is housed in plumb purple glass.
Why do people think Glossier is launching a new perfume?
The rumours began on Instagram, when a cryptic video shared by Glossier showed the shadow of a perfume bottle being sprayed into the air. Seemingly adding fuel to the fire, the caption read: “The scent of something is in the air. Your impression is soft like a pulse, but strong. A fever dream, bodies close, sticky sweet, the rush of it. The countdown is on.”
Then, over on TikTok, things intensified. A series of photos showed what looks to be a locked press kit sent out by Glossier, alongside instructions on how to unlock the package on September 26, 2024. Really clinching the theory of a new fragrance, the final slide showed what looks to be a holding page on the Glossier website, alongside the words 'A Soft Dream.'
