Gigi Hadid is launching her own fashion line, so now you can emulate the model’s style in real life. Overnight, the model/entrepreneur/mother/jack-of-all-trades announced her latest project, titled Guest in Residence.
What can we expect from Guest in Residence?
Hadid’s fashion line is knitwear-focussed, with her freshly minted Instagram bio proclaiming her as the Founder and Creative Director. Hadid took to the social media app to announce the new project, saying she has been “workin’ on something…” The announcement was accompanied by a selection of behind-the-scenes photos, including shots of the model reviewing colour and fabric swatches, designs, and trying the samples – because who needs a fit model when Hadid is the brand founder?

From the behind-the-scenes imagery shared to Instagram, we see a pastel colour palette as the common theme of the brand, alongside textured loungewear pieces that put our current work-from-home attire to shame. The clothing label of the brand is a burnt orange hue, with it officially reading Guest in Residence Knitters. We can expect a colourful, potentially cottagecore-influenced range of knitwear, likely to sell out swiftly.
Friends and well wishers of Hadid took to the comment section to congratulate her on the move, sister Bella Hadid leading the charge saying it’s “what we’ve all been waiting for” followed by a string of pink heart emojis. Hailey Bieber also sent her wishes to Hadid, proclaiming her excitement alongside fashion commentator, Tan France.
Hadid is no stranger to fashion design and product lines, having previously collaborated with Frankies Bikinis on a cottagecore-inspired series of swimsuits, perhaps an indication of her affinity for wool. She has also teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger, Reebok and Stuart Weitzman in crafting her own designs across both garments and accessories.
