You won’t want to miss this. For the first time, a major body of work by artist and icon Georgia O’Keeffe has travelled to Australia - joining forces with that of fellow modernist masters Margaret Preston and Grace Cossington Smith. At O’Keeffe, Preston, Cossington Smith: Making Modernism, now showing at the Art Gallery NSW, guests are invited to experience how each of these artists cemented themselves as pioneers – O’Keeffe in the US and Preston and Cossington Smith on Australian shores. Spending formative years of their lives in the 1910s and 20s in periods of cultural and social transition - through experiments with light and colour, form and silhouette they were innovators amidst their ever-changing national landscapes. The exhibition is open through October 2, 2017.
