There are many descriptors for the versatile style of Gemma Chan – polished, crisp, vibrant, timeless are just some you're likely to hear.
Chan has been in an incredible amount of films since her start in the industry more than 15 years ago. After initially studying Law at Oxford, she decided to pursue acting, enrolling in the Drama Centre, London. Cast in a variety of British shows including Doctor Who and the Secret Diary of a Call Girl, she went on to feature in Richard Ayoade's Indie classic Submarine, Belles Families and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Chan's breakout role was as Astrid Leong-Teo in Crazy Rich Asians, making the actor a global household name. Since, we've seen her in Mary Queen of Scots, the Marvel Universe and in the newly released film from Olivia Wilde, Don't Worry Darling.
Chan has a longstanding creative partnership with Louis Vuitton by Nicholas Ghesquiere, often seen wearing designs by the House to films premieres, festivals (including Cannes and Venice), the Academy Awards and even sporting events, including Wimbledon. However, she is also frequently seen in the likes of Tory Burch, Prabal Gurung, Kenzo and Valentino. A woman who happily wears ballgowns, sequins, jumpsuits and denim, all with the same poise as each other.
