Ever since we saw her in Midsommar and Little Women, we can't seem to take our eyes or attention spans off of silver screen darling Florence Pugh. She's got that British charm, delightful wit and fearlessness to make a bold fashion statement that feel refreshingly honest and authentic in a world where the concept of celebrity feels more and more out of touch. It's for all these reasons that we are so excited to hear that Pugh will be the newest ambassador of luxury fashion brand, Maison Valentino.
Pugh marked the occasion by lighting up the camera for the Italian fashion House's Fall 23 Garavani Rockstud accessory campaign, shot by the iconic fashion photographer Steven Meisel. A match made in heaven, it would seem, as Pugh's enigmatic presence in front of the camera is undeniable – flashing that winning grin of hers, and giggling in repose, expertly showing her emotional range and charm in tandem.
Inspired by Roman palace doors, the iconic, pyramid-shaped rockstud has long been a hallmark design of Maison Valentino. Their Fall 23 Garavani Rockstud accessories campaign with Pugh boldly reimagines the house code through daring new bag and stiletto designs in buttery creams, slick blacks and that signature, trademark hot pink (the one we've seen dominate red carpets since last year's mono-hued Fall Winter 2022-2023 show from the House).
Creative Director for Valentino, Pierpaolo Piccioli, has used this collection to continue his process of resignification, whilst celebrating and paying homage to the values of non-conformity and individuality.
This is not the first time the enigmatic British actress has donned Valentino, having sported one of their sheer fuchsia gowns to the Maison's Haute Couture show last July, and a daring monochromatic look (complete with feather headpiece) to this year's Met Gala in New York. We're excited to see the beautiful and bold fashion looks that Pugh is sure to don from the House on upcoming red carpets.
