Beauty needn’t be expensive. Sometimes the best products are those ones that you find at the supermarket. Old favourites, ones you’ve used since childhood, the product your mother used or the tip from your best friend.
We asked our model friends for their recommendations. The ones they used over and over again, swear by and will pass the knowledge on.

I love this rose water spray that I get from Erewhon Market. It's a hippy one called Heritage Store. I also love Alba Botanic Hawaiian Coconut Clear spray 50 plus body sunscreen. I don’t mind a hippy product.

I’m very big into body skincare products. I’m really into lotions and French pharmacy products, not that I’m trying to sound like I’m overly chic which I’m not haha. I really love this baby brand called Mustela and I love the baby wipes by them and their body lotion. You can buy it at any French pharmacy. It’s so good.

My favourite cheap drug store product that I have picked up along the way is Bioderma Micelle Solution. It’s the best product for properly removing makeup or residue.

Avene Mineral Water Facial spray is my absolute favourite. I always have a mini one in my bag at all times. Perfect for flights, after a workout or if you just need to refresh your skin.

I always stock up on pharmacy basics when I'm in Europe - Vitry Nail Repair hardener (the only nail hardener that actually works), Homeoplasmine (for lips, cracks and cuts), Bioderma Sensibio H2O and Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse.

I actually primarily use chemist beauty products; the cleanser I wash my face with morning and night is Cerave Hydrating cleanser. And then I use La Roche Posay SPF 50 everyday as my moisturiser (even in the depths of London winter). Finally, I’ll use Weleda Skin food as a thick moisturiser at night, and I’ll often use it as a natural highlighter on my cheekbones rather than using makeup.

Palmer’s Coco Butter moisturiser. This is the best body moisturiser. It's thick and rich enough to actually scratch the surface of my ashy ashy calves, but doesn’t leave an oil slick behind.

Hmm ... I consistently use T.N Dickinson’s Witch Hazel toner! Other than that, probably Sukin's SPF30 sunscreen and Cetaphil moisturiser for my body.

Kopari coconut body milk and body melt. Coconut oil locks in so much moisture and keeps your skin youthful and hydrated.

Coconut oil – I love to use it for soft and moisturised skin. Homemade body scrub that I make myself with honey and sea salt – perfect to use after sauna.

Raw organic coconut oil, mixing with organic essential oils like sandalwood, patchouli, frankincense, rose ... and put all around my body from my hair to my toes.

I like some beauty brands and all of them are very organic. My favourites are: Rowse (from Barcelona) their image is beautiful too, Tromborg (from Copenhagen) as they have so many different things and all I’ve tried it’s been worth it, Rudolph Care is also a fav from Copenhagen, their products are so amazing and for my skin which is very sensible, then I love the makeup from Chanel beauty, some Glossier face products and also Tromborg face powders (they’re the best).

When I was a teenager a makeup artist told me to use Cetaphil Cleansing soap on my face so now I always make sure I have a bottle in my bathroom for emergencies if I run out of my other products. It agrees really well with my skin and I love it as a simple and easy cleansing solution. I also love the French brand Nuxe’s Reve De Miel Honey Lip balm which is the best lip balm I’ve ever used; it is so creamy. I also always have on me a tube of Lucas’ Papaw Ointment. It is so useful and French boys and girls go wild for it when they see me pull it out of my handbag.

I’m a home wax kind of girl and stock up on Epsom salts for my baths on supermarket runs.

I love buying pure oils that you can get in every health food store like jojoba oil or coconut oil as a body moisturizer and shea butter to put on my hair for my dry ends. I try to stay away from the bigger stores and support local small businesses.
