Gucci reissue classic Attache bag, taking cues from the House archives
Gucci have launched its latest bag, this time coming in the form of the Gucci Attache bag, pulling from the House’s archives. A bag that reinterprets tradition and embodies House codes, it draws on the attitude of the 1970s, a common theme in Alessandro Michele’s Gucci. Coming with an interchangeable strap in leather or web, it can be worn as either a shoulder or handbag, combining Gucci elegance with functionality.
Michele said he was intrigued by the bag after spotting it in the Gucci archives, fleetingly.
“I was fascinated by the bag after having laid upon it a casual and fleeting glance while I was in the archive… Immediately, a desire took shape to reinterpret it and include it in the Love Parade collection for the fashion show in Los Angeles because its silhouette, typical of the Seventies, projects a very modern attitude that convinced me to draw out an eclectic symbol that could express the idea of a dual function,” said Michele.

Acne Studios announces collaboration with Parisian-born artist Martin Laborde
Acne Studios has announced its collaboration with Parisian-born artist, Martin Laborde, as part of the Fall/Winter 2022 collection. The collection sees Laborde’s collages and constructed prints of horses, fruits and flowers printed a onto green satin slip dress, a blue lurex t-shirt dress, white satin shirt, pale blue mesh polo neck, green oversized hoodie and more. The campaign imagery features RUSSH 100 coverstar Julia Nobis, donning the mentioned green dress.
Laborde says he works on intuition, creating as he goes through the motions of his work.
“I create as I go. There are forms that interest me, but it’s often more reactive, more instinctual. Sometimes ignoring something is as good as finding something. Sometimes the cut-out is more interesting backwards. And glueing something down changes it again. To see my work on textiles and being worn, it’s like how my collages turn something into something else, and now become something else again. There’s no mythology, no fidelity, and that’s exciting.”
