Another week in fashion has passed us by, and as we gear up for the four-day-weekend of our dreams, we're reflecting on what's in fashion this week. From newness from Burberry and Loewe to announcements from Assembly Label and Valentino, these are our 5 favourite fashion moments from the week.
Burberry partners with Historic Royal Palaces for Superbloom
Burberry has announced that this historic British brand will be partnering with Historic Royal Palaces in support of Superbloom, an immersive floral display which will encircle The Tower of London in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
It's not an english spring without an abundance of florals, and Burberry is leaning into the theme, with the contribution of teo immersive outdoor installations for the public to access. Designed to celebrate flora, fauna and the pollinators that will benefit from the project, Burberry’s creation will combine adventure and education to highlight the positive impact of biodiversity.
Opening on June 1, Superbloom will be available to experience at The Tower of London until the 18th September.
Loewe welcomes the new Paula's Ibiza collection
We all love wearable fun, which is exactly what Loewe's Paula's Ibiza collection has been introduced to do. For the Loewe Paula's Ibiza 2022 collection, Jonothan Anderson is musing on hedonism.
"Ibiza is the island of escapism; a parallel world where everything is possible. Different generations have escaped here in a quest for personal freedom, making the identity of the place richly layered." He notes in a press release. "Each summer LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza allows me to explore one of these layers. Right now, I am thinking of Ibiza as an endless party destination."
Lensed by Grey Sorrenti, the collection encapsulates hedonism, partying, moments of electricity, and a quintessential energy synonymous with Ibiza.
Assembly Label launches Re-Worn collection
Assembly Label is one of the Australian brands bringing more sustainable practices into the fold with the announcement that
this Autumn will see them introduce a highly anticipated second Re-Worn capsule collection, which, for the first time, will also be available to shop online.
The capsule collection comes in strictly limited numbers and includes a selection of core basics including denim, tees, linen pieces and knitwear from past seasons. All of these pieces were returned by the previous owners through Assembly Label’s much loved Re-Worn program and have been carefully laundered and repaired.
Moët Hennessy announces the Australian launch of Volcán De Mi Terra Tequila
While not exclusively fashion, we'll always have our ears pricked when a new tequila comes to town. Moët Hennessy's Volcan is among one of an incredibly small number of tequilas with its own distillery, which sits at the base of the volcano and is home to a distinctive distilling process that marries history and tradition with innovation.
Created in 2017, Volcan de Mi Tierra was born from a strong entrepreneurial partnership, combining the Gallardo family’s passion for its homeland and deep roots in Mexico, together with Moët Hennessy’s commitment to craftmanship and luxury branding.
