It's been another big week in fashion, from digital runways to anniversary book launches. With Australian Fashion Week only around the corner and the Met Gala on Monday, we're not surprised the business of May is hitting in the final days of April. Loewe reopens Casa Loewe Barcelona
Loewe has reopened its Casa Loewe Barcelona, a reimagining of its iconic Spanish flagship store that showcases a commitment to craft, art and design. The store has been designed with a gallery focus front of mind, with works from the brand’s art collection featuring alongside products and installations. Artists featured include Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, Aurelia Munoz, Haegue Yang, Richard Wright and Pablo Picasso. Peppered throughout the store are pieces of contemporary furniture tying into the Loewe brand and aesthetic, including John Allen rugs, Utrecht chairs by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld and tables from Axel Vervoordt.
Sydney Sweeney is the new global brand ambassador for Tory Burch
Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney has been announced as the new global brand ambassador for Tory Burch. A brand focused on the empowerment of women, the alignment of Sweeney with the brand is an organic connection through a shared passion of supporting women. Alongside producing handbags and accessories, the brand runs the Tory Foundation, founded in 2009 to advance women’s empowerment and provide education and resources to women entrepreneurs, something Sweeney will likely be involved in.
Tommy Jeans launches Spring 2022 campaign featuring the likes of TEMS and Imma
For spring 2022, Tommy Jeans has launched its “Play to Progress” brand campaign, promoting a mindset of curiosity and creativity. Exploring new ways to inspire positive change through experimentation and play, the campaign features TEMS, Imma and BikeLifeRex. Written to connect with the brand’s root and music heritage, singer Temilade Openiyi – known as TEMS – leads the first chapter of the campaign, followed by Asia’s first CGI model Imma in the second and BMX rider BikeLifeRex in the third. The new denim program focuses on progression in style and sustainability, with 100 per cent recycled denim used in the process.
adidas Originals and Parley Present: Today’s Icons, Made for Tomorrow
adidas Originals and long-time partner Parley for the Oceans have returned with a collection of iconic styles, reimagined for a better tomorrow and underpinned by sustainable practices. Timeless in their own right, each sneaker in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection has been produced with a yarn containing at least 50 per cent Parley Ocean Plastic – re-imagined plastic waste, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines preventing it from polluting our ocean – with the remaining 50 per cent recycled polyester. The collection serves as a representation of adidas’ commitment to help End Plastic Waste, and progress come together for a collection where every step makes a difference.
Bottega Veneta releases Salon 3 – The Turn
Bottega Veneta has released its bellowed Turn Pouch in fresh colourways, sizes and materials. First introduced in Wardrobe 03 as part of the small leather goods collection, Salon 03 sees the new iterations of the product come to fruition. Now available in small and medium sizing, it features gold metallic sliding sphere and can be carried on the shoulder. Crafted in the house's signature Intrecciato 15 Supple Nappa, the pouch is completed with a tone-on-tone tubular Nappa strap with iconic knot details.
Yu Mei presents Autumn 2022 Collection Digital Runway
Coveted leather goods brand Yu Mei has unveiled its Autumn 2022 collection in a digital runway titled The Seven Sisters. Embodied in the seven key styles of the season, the runway introduced us to seven characters who share a forward-thinking approach to life, while also having distinctly unique personalities. As a collective, the complement each other as a united sisterhood. The colour palette for Autumn 2022 features Spice, Black Olive and Seamist colourways in Yu Mei’s signature Deer Nappa, and Lambskin leather, with the brand introducing three fresh styles to the range: The Teresa Tote, a relaxed, deep bucket style for those on the go, the Charlie Bag, a structured, oversized baguette style, and a more grown-up version of the best-selling Braidy Bag.
Kathmandu launches Biodegradable Biodown Jacket

Ralph Lauren celebrates 50 years of the Polo shirt with new book, The Polo Shirt Book.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Polo Shirt, Ralph Lauren has launched the Polo Shirt Book, published by Rizzoli International. Sure to become a staple coffee table book – alongside your already existing wardrobe staple, the Polo itself – the book reflects on the cultural impact of the garment across since 1972. The Polo Book features intimate photography of the shirt, an introduction by Ralph Lauren, and an afterword by David Lauren, shining a spotlight on the item itself.
Le Specs x Missoma SPEC-Tacular Collaboration
Australian eyewear brand Le Specs has collaborated with British jewellery brand Missoma on a 22-piece capsule collection, fusing eyewear and jewellery. The capsule collection celebrates self-expression in all its shades, with designs inspired by the 70s and 90s with shapes to suit any face. The collaboration sees the ‘jewelrification’ of iconic Le Specs silhouettes, like the cat-eye and D-frame, all reimagined with Missoma’s bespoke jewelled and golden elements.
Balenciaga launch pop up personalisation in Sydney and Melbourne
Balenciaga are set to run a customisation pop up at its Sydney and Chadstone boutiques, alongside exclusive styles per store. Alongside some sweet treats, shoppers will be able to have on-site handbag customisation on May 4th and 5th. The styles offered include the Balenciaga Le Cagole line, now including multiple bag, wallet and shoe styles, reinventing the House codes.
Serpent and The Swan launch Ceremony collection
Jewellery brand Serpent and The Swan have launched the Ceremony collection, a celebration of love and commitment. A range of non-traditional engagement rings set with pavé diamonds to add an extra sparkle, they are made for all types of ceremonies celebrating love.
