If you’ve got the time, take the coastal route to Berry via the Sea Cliff Bridge, wind your window down and take into the ocean views. The weekend starts here. Once you get on down to the festival, the options are plenty. Don’t miss the legendary Rodriguez on Friday night, or Melbourne psych rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Come Saturday, we’ll be taking in all we can – from Angel Olsen to Big Scary and Jagwar Ma.

If you want to be near the action, camping is where it’s at. Flash Camp has your glamping needs sorted – think fresh linen and towels, plus private access to the Fairgrounds pool on Saturday morning. Or settle into Fairgrounds Rivercamp: waterside with preassembled tents, a five-minute shuttle ride away from the festival. And the living is easy.

Weather permitting, Fairgrounds isn’t a festival of the muddy mosh pit kind. Dress for sunshine and languishing on the grass – you can’t go wrong with an oversized blouse or a dress made for dancing – and pair with your favourite pair of R.M.s. A dose of sun protection via this wide-brimmed essential from Lack of Color, wire frames courtesy of Ray-Ban and SPF from Mecca Cosmetica, and you’re ready.

On your way in or out of town, it’s worth stopping in to The Burrows of Berry, Milkwood Bakery, Little Rae General Store and, of course, the Famous Berry Donut Van.
