Meet Hourglass Cosmetics' first foray into the realm of skincare. It's called Equilibrium, a line designed to compliment the brand's existing cosmetic products by giving you a healthy and radiant base.
Equilibrium is a line of just five items, all designed to work in conjunction with each other to deliver a happy and healthy complexion. The five products include a full day and night regime with a cleanser, essence, eye cream, serum and daily moisturiser.

The Rebalancing Cream Cleanser is designed to clean but not strip the skin while preserving your natural pH. The Restoring Essence is a product a bit like a hydrating toner, designed to be applied after a cleanser. It contains the brand's patented technology Cell Balancing Complex™ which uses lipids to preserve the skin barrier function. The Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm is a eye product that claims to reduced undereye circles after just three days of use. To finish up, the Day Fluid Sunscreen is (obviously) for day use as a final step; it's a lightweight moisturiser with an inbuilt 30+ SPF. For night, the Biomimetric Skin Active Serum is used instead; a product that is designed to deliver its active ingredients deeper into the skin than an ordinary serum.
For those of you who are feeling like Equilibrium sounds familiar, you'd be right. The luxury Biomimetric Serum was actually launched back in 2014 and is currently available at Hourglass online and at MECCA. But this is the first time Hourglass has expanded its skincare offering beyond that one product.

Hourglass products are available to Australians through Hourglass Online, MECCA and Net-a-Porter. While we don't have an official Australian launch date for these new products (although we know the US launch is February 26), we should see the new additions to the Equilibrium line pop up in the usual places within the next month.
