It's gearing up to be an exciting few months in the realm of entertainment - what with the news of Armie Hammer's Rebecca hitting Netflix in October and Mulan finally coming to Disney+ on September 4.
The latest new release we're excited about is Enola Holmes, a new story that centres on the determined and intelligent younger sister of Sherlock Holmes. The lead role is played by none other than cool-girl Millie Bobby Brown - who we very frankly adore. Check out the trailer below.
The rest of the cast includes more impressive names: Henry Cavill who plays brother Sherlock, Helena Bonham-Carter who plays their mother Mrs. Holmes and Sam Clafin as eldest brother Mycroft Holmes.
First things first, when is this new movie going to hit our screens? So far it's slated for a September 23 Netflix release. We know this, because when Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer on Twitter this week, the caption turned out to be a tricky, little anagram of "Enola Holmes September Twenty Third".

As far as we can tell, this will be the global release date, so Australian viewers can mark this date in their calendars.
The movie is based on Nancy Springer's books. In 19th century England, it's Enola Holmes' 16th birthday. But the occasion doesn't turn out to be a cause for celebration, she finds that her mother is missing without a trace. With her brothers set on sending her away to finishing school, Enola escapes and sets out to find her mother. Little does she realise, she'll find herself entangled in a conspiracy that could change the course of history.
Mystery is clearly the best genre of film (don't @ me), so we're very excited to have a new mystery flick to look forward to. Plus, it's directed by Killing Eve director Harry Bradbeer so you know it's going to be good.
