There's no doubting that over the years, the House of Christian Dior has fostered a highly-celebrated family of ambassadors across each of its offerings. From ready-to-wear, to beauty and fragrance and of course jewellery; the luxury fashion maven has worked with everyone from Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman, to more recently, BLACKPINK and K-Pop star Jisoo and Hollywood's dream girl of the moment, Anya Taylor-Joy. Despite this formidable lineup, there's always been one thing missing – a glistening face from Down Under. Until now, with the news that Elizabeth Debicki has been announced as the first Australian Christian Dior Joaillerie ambassador.
It's no secret that Debicki has quickly become one of the most talked about actors cementing her place in the industry today. Casted last year in the final seasons of Netflix's hit series, The Crown, as the one and only Princess Diana; her blonde locks and piercing blue eyes have had us entranced from the very beginning. It only makes sense that someone with such royal status lead the way as the first Australian face of Dior.
Debicki's latest role will be as the face of Rose Dior; a collection designed by Victoire de Castellane and consists of four rose-themed collections. Described by the House as "a reflection of pluralistic femininity", the partnership feels like a symbiotic collaboration between the actor and the Rose Dior collection. Speaking on the appointment of their new ambassador, Christian Dior described Debicki as representing “a sophisticated ambassador and a symbol of the House’s timeless elegance." And we certainly tens to agree.
The actor is only the second-ever face of Dior's jewellery division, following in the footsteps of long-term friend of the House Cara Delevingne; who was named a Dior Joaillerie ambassador in 2019.
With what we're sure is going to be an exciting and event-filled year for Elizabeth Debicki, we can't wait to see the magic she creates as the new face of Christian Dior Joaillerie.
