I’m on the hunt for some bar stools. Comfortable and minimal. I came across these Maki Bar Stools from MCM House and think they will work well with the other timber already featured in my kitchen.
With Christmas just around the corner, I imagine my homemade (and might I add, dreamy) pavlova sitting proud on this Alex and Trahanas Cassata Ceramic Cake Stand. I also need some coasters and these yellow treasures from Dinosaur Designs are on the wishlist.
Lastly, my ultimate dream is to one day own the Stretch Large Angled Corner Sofa by RJ Living.

I’m a sucker for anything that blends functionality and design, so Ellison Studios x Mejuri’s Shoal Catchall is the latest addition to my space – perfect for carrying incense, jewellery or simply acting as a rest for my keys by the door. Now that summer is heating up, I’m also in the market for a cute but functional esky to take beach-side, and Fieldbar’s handcrafted coolers are some of the most stylish on the market, with all the retro-flair I could ask for. And finally, there’s nothing more luxurious to me than a Diptyque scent, so I’ll likely be investing in its Sapin (Pine Tree) candles for lighting in the evenings to get into a festive spirit.

I have an unhealthy obsession with oysters, continuing on from my beautiful birthday Oyster from Serpent and the Swan, it’s now invading my home via the delicious Balthzar Oyster Butter dish. It probably won’t stop there, I’ll need to get the adorable clam too, so it’s not lonely. I’ve been following the adventures of Nick Knack Cave (Antiquities dealer, Paul Mclean) on instagram for sometime who splits his time between France and Australia hunting for all things both hardcore and novel. He posted some Georgia Jacobs lamps and I had to buy one. She is a thing of beauty and I do not regret it. I want to drink champagne from a Waterford coupe and admire her, you’re welcome to join me.

I’ve recently had my hardwood floors redone in a beautiful dark walnut colour, however (as everyone warned me) they show every speck of dust. My solution is a robo-vacuum and after some research I’ve decided the Roborock is the one for me. It vacuums and mops, maps out your house so it knows what to avoid, and you can also program a cleaning schedule. Call me old, but I’ve never been more excited for a vacuum cleaner in my life.
Speaking of floors, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect rug for a while now and I can’t go past Armadillo. This beautiful burnt umber colour provides warmth and ambience, but also elevates a space and that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I have also had my eye on a washable vegan flokari rug from Double Rugs for under my bed. Tell me that wouldn’t make getting up in the morning easier.
Now for the fun stuff - homewares. A set of Gustaf Westman mugs to spice up my morning coffee, and this "Indecisive Lazy Susan" by Adam JK. I’m picturing it in the corner of my kitchen with a fruit bowl or vase on it.

The first item on my agenda this month was to change over my sheets and bed linen. Truthfully, it’s my favourite way to signal a change of season and refresh my bedroom. I had my previous bed linen set for many years – which just confirms that if you buy well, you buy less – so I opted for a new neutral base that I would be able to decorate from Cultiver. The piped linen duvet in natural and forest is now on my bed and actually feels like a cloud, it’s almost impossible to lift myself out. The only thing saving me is my new coffee machine, the Oracle Jet from Breville. Not only does it look incredibly chic in my kitchen, but it’s truly barista-quality coffee in the comfort of my home and you can really customise your coffee of choice to your needs. Elsewhere, I am dreaming of this Tamsin Johnson-sourced curved chrome frame chair. It originates from France and still has its original upholstery, which I adore. I’m currently renovating my apartment, and would style the chair with this striking Gino Coffee Table from Fleur Studios for the ultimate living room pairing.

First off on my homewares favourites this month, Olsson’s salt keeper. I was actually gifted this one and I just love it. I didn’t think I would use it but it’s actually come in handy on so many occasions. I’m gifting them to all my friends for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I prefer to decorate with candles and bowls rather than tinsel. This red candle from Ode is going to be perfect for my red and gold theme.
I’m very big on upcycling furniture and I have a few projects under my belt. But I’ve massively stalled on this old IKEA bureau that I had very big ambitions to entirely redesign. I have blocked out some time over the Christmas break to work on it – so now is the time to buy the little cabinet pulls I’ve had on my list. They’re these round wooden ones from ABI interiors. Finally - last year, my partner bought me a set of Fazeek glasses - I’d been eyeing the brand off for months. I ended up returning them because they weren't quite right, and I pledged to buy six when I found the right ones. Well, I just found them. Obsessed.

I am in desperate need of new bedding as we head into the warmer months, and I really love this striped series by Country Road as something a little different to my typically white linen. While I’m at it, I’d love to inject some colour into my bathroom with these towels by Hommey. Less practical, but still very high on my list, I have a newfound obsession with anything slightly retro feeling–probably because I binged Rivals this week–so I’m lusting after a pendant light from Tamsin Johnson’s incredible inventory. This coffee table by Sarah Ellison also definitely fits the bill.

I just bought some Baina towels and I love them. Planning to add this beach towel from the new collection to my Christmas list. I was having a conversation with a friend this morning on the coast of bedside tables; why so expensive? I’ve been scrolling through vintage and resale sites, but also have a set of these Tiramisu tables from Trit House on my wishlist.
I’m also on the hunt for a mirror to hang above a chest of drawers in my bedroom. I've always wanted a Seletti one but I'm not sure my husband will be too into that… This Italian piece from Tamsin Johnson’s showroom is a great compromise. Lastly, given it’s the festive season, I’m burning through Christmas candles. Carrière Frères Siberian Fir & Ginger is my recommendation — it’s warm and spicy but not too ‘Christmasy’.

I like entertaining, especially in the warmer months, and we’re in desperate need of extra seating to facilitate this. My collection of Martino Gamper stools didn’t make the move with us from Aotearoa, so I’d love to replace them. Previously, I went completely neutral so I’d like to introduce a touch of colour. I love the baby blue Good Things Store have in stock. One or two of these mixed with paperbark and cocoa would make for the perfect summer palette. A new table cloth also feels essential for the season, maybe this by Maison Balzac.
Forever on my wish list is a USM Haller Mid Credenza storage system—likely in white or beige, though golden yellow has been calling my name lately. I'd love to style this with books and a few pieces from Gohar World. McMullin’s new Uncommon collection has also been on my mind; the Vita chair or Juno stool styled with a Moroccan vintage rug I’ve yet to find would make for the perfect transeasonal ‘mood’.
