I’m hoping that 2025 is the year that I finally move, which means being able to revamp my home decor for a new space. While we’re not there yet, I like to let my mind wander. In an ideal world I’d let RUSSH Home Editor Tamsin Johnson style my entire place, but in lieu I like to peruse her inventory, and I love the romantic nature of this pair of dining chairs. I am also on the search for a neutral but interesting rug to centre the space, and this beautiful Armadillo moment really caught my eye. I love green. A practical item I will need is storage for all my tech and cameras, and this one from MCM House could be beautiful. It’s a great size and I love the rattan detail. And lastly, cookware is one area where I'd really like to upgrade, and finally get a cast iron skillet.

I’m re-entering my cooking era this year (not that I ever left, really). I’ve had a minor setback in that my fridge died on me in the first week, but refuse to let that defeat me. First, my tiny kitchen is in dire need of some extra storage, and I’m eyeing off this adorable shelving option from The Ledge (perfect for a couple of knick-knacks to be stored). I will also be purchasing this solid brass hand-carved crab that holds cooking spoons. It’s a necessity, no further questions please. I recently visited a very chic friend whose home smelled divine, and was informed that it was Carta d'Armenia by Santa Maria Novella (this is apparently the aroma you’ll find wafting in The Row’s stores). And finally, I’m never not thinking about a day when I’ll own one of Dinosaur Designs’ Rock Jugs – especially after spotting them at the new Olympus restaurant in a stunning cobalt blue.

Hate to say it, but a TikTok influenced me for this one. It’s supposedly the best carbon-steel pan on the market, shipped directly from Argentina and arrives in a brown paper bag; we're leaving Teflon in 2024. Bath towels feel like the right thing to buy at the beginning of the year and I love these blue striped Hommey ones. Another gem from Hommey are these olive lumbar cushions which I need for my stark white lounge. Never not thinking about the Alessi lemon squeezer which would be a match made in heaven with The Gourmand’s Lemon book.
I dream about the Elio Martinelli ‘Serpente’ table lamp; it comes in a floor version but both swivel out to reveal a serpentine shape. Keeping with the snake theme, as our lunar calendar is in the year of the snake, this silver matchbox sleeve embossed with a snake is super cute. Finally in dire need of a new matcha whisk and loving this room spray which I recently bought in Melbourne at Up There Store.

Times have changed, where I once would have fantasised about some new impractical shoes, I am now dreaming of a new vacuum cleaner. Given that mine has finally given up the ghost and wants to eject most of the debris, I’m looking for something super powerful, this Dyson Gen5 is top of my list. It is also time to give my bathroom some much needed love with a new bath mat, I may have accidentally bleach stained the last one. I’m hoping by some miracle the Speckle Bath mat from Cultiver will magically transform my bathroom into the lap of luxury, I may have to get a new Bibliotheque candle to assist in the allusion.
My true obsession however, will always be my kitchen, which although has a hole in the ceiling due to a leak and some unfortunate tiles, I continue to invest in its improvement. First on the list is a mincing knife, because, much like Nigella, I cannot be bothered to endlessly chop herps yet insist on using several varieties every meal. I don’t need, but I definitely still want, new plates and the shape of these La Casa Visconti plates are perfect. With the tail end of summer still ahead of us, I’d like to host outside too and would love to upgrade my ice situation to a YETI cooler. I'll take the ‘wine bottle compatible’ Tundra in tan, please. Thank you so much.

I’ve been in need of new cutlery for some time and being a new year and all, I’ve decided the time is now. I’m considering the Horn Bistrot 24 Pc Cutlery Set from JARDAN – a worthy investment.
Since I have burned through the remainder of my candles over the holiday period, it’s time to treat myself with a large candle and what better option than Jo Malone? The Design Edition Layered Candle – Fresh & Fruity is at the top of my wishlist this month. Second place to the candle would be my very own KitchenAid mixer in yellow. My 30th is this month and I might just have to gift one to myself.
Lastly, I’m in need of a hall table for the entry in my home, and the Vivi Console in Oak from Rachel Donath is what dreams are made of.

There’s something about a new year that makes buying new sheets feel like the right choice. I’ve been having a big purple moment, and this Carlotta + Gee duvet cover is calling my name. Potentially matched with these delicious eggplant Sheet Society sheets - too rogue?
I’ve also realised that my home doesn’t quite feel like ‘me’ yet, so I’ve been on the hunt for some more unique quirky pieces that add some personality to my space. These feet candle holders from Wobbly Studio are super fun, ideally sat next to a funky vase. I’m leaning towards this House of Nunu curly vase, or a classic Georg Jenson chrome statement vase. Topped off with Dahlia’s (my fave) from Daily Blooms.
Lastly, some cabinetry handles from ABI Interiors. My kitchen came minus a few and I’ve decided an upgrade is essential. It’s all in the details.

I have a rather large 2025 wishlist; most is home-related. I can’t stop thinking about this 1950s brutalist, Italian mirror and chair set on Tamsin Johnson’s website. So major. Realistically, I do need a new set of bedding. We have a nice Sutram set but my cat has been showing it a little too much love as of late. I think I’ll treat myself to this lovely blue duvet cover from Roomie, paired with their oat milk pillowcases.
These Nonna’s Grocer candles are fun, I’d like to get the Sémillion grapes for the side table we have in our kitchen. I’m also on the lookout for a lace tablecloth, there are lots of fancy options I adore but I think Vinnie’s will be where I end up for this one.

I did my annual Northern Rivers stock up at the beginning of this month, including big jars of my favourite Mayde Teas - the energise and the adapt blends. Then I bought a new Uscha serving bowl from Newrybar Merchants. And finally I got these amazing solid brass cabinet handles from Zocalo. They’re not actually available online, but you can browse through their other stuff which is equally as cool.
I also received a copy of RUSSH’s limited edition book, Try To Catch It for Christmas which has helped restyle my coffee table. Another excellent Christmas gift, the Hommey hand towels I’ve been eyeing off.
