Vitamin C lovers and Barbara Sturm devotees can finally harmonize, with the cult skincare brands launch of its new vitamin C formula, The Good C Vitamin C Serum.

Cutting straight to it, the serum contains oil-soluble vitamin C THD, synthetic vitamin C in glucosidic form and Kakadu plum extract and has been formulated to reduce pigmentation, improve uneven skin tone and provide antioxidant and environmental protection. As a fun addition, the serum has the added inclusion of zinc, to aid in absorption for the vitamin C. Zinc is also a powerful standalone healing ingredient, so bonus points are added for this.

“I developed The Good C Vitamin C Serum in response to clients who wanted the radiance-boosting effects of vitamin C in an optimum concentration, without damaging skin barrier function or causing sensitivity. My formulation combines the right chemistry of citamin C with surrounding ingredient science to boost the skin and provides antioxidant properties that protect from free radicals and daily environmental stress while combatting pigmentation. Regular usage results in a complexion that’s healthy-looking, fresh and radiant,” Sturm has said on the new product, which is the 12th serum to join Sturm's lineup of powerful treatments.

For those who are new to the world of vitamin C in skincare, it can act as a powerful antioxidant which helps protect the skin against free radicals and sun damage. It can also help to brighten the skin and reduce pigmentation. If you're curious about how/when/why to use it, you can find our guide to everything you need to know about vitamin C.

For those curious about Dr. Barbara Sturm, the internationally renowned aesthetics doctor responsible for the Vampire Facial and her famous ‘blood cream’, we spoke with her on everything from her personal routine, to the best beauty advice she's ever received.
