There's no questioning Kim Jones' staying power – particularly, in his role as Dior Homme's artistic director. Throughout his tenure, he has continuously found new and unique approaches to unite the House's key codes with nods to contemporary creatives and inspiration. Most recently, for summer 2022, Jones brought rapper Travis Scott into the mix; creating a Texan desert odyssey that sent the streets of Paris – and the realms of the fashion internet – into a frenzy. And for the latest Dior men's winter 2021-2022 campaign, it's British artist Peter Doig who serves as an unending source of inspiration.
This isn't the first or only occasion where Jones, Dior and Doig have collaborated. The duo came together initially at the beginning of the year; collaborating on the luxury brand's winter 2021-2022 show. The most recent campaign is an extension of that creative partnership – a reinvention and refinement of the captivating heritage of formal wear, finessed with the singular enchantment of Doig’s paintings.

Jones has taken iconic staples of the masculine wardrobe – the button down shirt and combat boot amongst other signature pieces – and adorned the collection with a statement-making camouflage motif. This same design extends to accessories; with new iterations of the Saddle and its hobo version, the Saddle Soft.
Lensed through the eyes of photographer Raphael Pavarotti, the campaign is an ode to Doig's fascinating aesthetic. Silhouettes are completed by poetic punctuations, with hats and berets based on the styles worn by his subjects.
“Raphael Pavarotti really gave a contemporary twist to this Dior men’s Winter 2021-2022 campaign. The photographs are like paintings, with a colour palette inspired by Peter Doig’s universe. It’s a mix between modernity and poetic melancholy,” shares Jones.
The Dior men's winter 2021-2022 campaign is available in vibrant shades of chocolate and cognac as well as in a denim version. As dialogues with art in all its forms, these designs transcend eras and codes.
