At the helm of Dior Homme, creative director Kim Jones takes their Pre Fall 23 collection as an opportunity to pay homage to his affinity for travel, to epitomise the depths of history, art and luxury, and to foreground it all in a spectacular sense of futuristism – all sentiments embedded in the identity and landsape of Cairo, Egypt. The locale – or more specifically, the Giza Pyramids – backdropped the collection's showing earlier this year, runway garments finding balance between desert silhouettes and contemporary House codes.
In the pages of our May 'Tempo' issue, model Daiki Koga is photographed by Jonas Bresnan and styled by Hannah Cooper, traversing the shadows, at once a commanding presence and an ephemeral spectre, an apparition of modern-day wanderlust.
