The members of K-Pop mega-group, BLACKPINK are no strangers to the sartorial spotlight. In fact, one would argue that rather than following trends, they're the ones to set them. We only need to look to their history collaborating with some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses for proof. Lisa, as the face of Celine; Rosé, a fashion and beauty muse for Saint Laurent; Jennie, a long-term friend of Chanel and now, Jisoo is joining the force, as the global ambassador for Dior.
Taking on the role for both the luxury Houses' fashion and beauty conglomerates, Jisoo's playful, yet sophisticated style is an idyllic match for Dior. In the announcement, Dior shared that the global star, "embodies, with her singular audacity, the House’s modernity and the passionate creativity of Maria Grazia Chiuri, who was inspired by the Korean singer for her Fall 2021 collection."
The luxury label also confirmed her place as a beauty muse, adding; "A striking beauty that Peter Philips, Director of Creation and Image makeup Christian Dior, will also celebrate in Dior’s upcoming makeup creations and campaigns."

Rumours of an ambassador role between Dior and Jisoo first began to circle when the K-Pop star donned the brand's playful Cruise 2021 collection for a Harpers Bazaar Korea shoot late last year. Taking to her own personal Instagram to share news of the partnership, Jisoo shared that she is "So thrilled to join @dior as their new global ambassador for both fashion and beauty!" and that "Hearing that the #DiorFall21 collection was largely inspired by myself made this shoot that much more special."

Speaking of Dior's fall collection, which is set to be released today, Jisoo shared that she feels the collection has "an underlying boldness to it that's felt when the garment is worn. I myself may seem calm on the exterior, but as an artist I exert a more powerful attitude on stage."
We can't wait to see the magic Dior and Jisoo create together.
