A pleasant follow up to the original Dior ID Sneaker - Italian fashion designer and creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, introduces its much awaited upgrade. A modern reinterpretation of the classic Dior ID with a touch of colour to compliment any woman's wardrobe.
First released as a part of Dior's S/S 2021 collection, the original sneaker took its stand as a classic, with a tone on tone version only offered in single colour-ways. This season, the French luxury house offers women a contemporary point of view, introducing the classic sneaker in two-tone colour way details.
Engineered in white leather and imprinted with Dior's esteemed gold signature label, the sneaker features contrasting colour inserts in dark blue, nude, green or red. Featuring its original iconic chunky silhouette, the sneaker hallmarks intricate details in its handworked two-tone stitching, individualised signature stamping and Dior's 5 pointed star marked on the sole as a finishing touch on detail.
Featuring a rubber tongue, inserted by hand, cleverly sitting on top of the shoe to conceal the laces, the sneaker remains sleek and clean in its design and execution, remaining somewhat loyal to its original design. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri drew her inspiration from vintage style sneakers and the shoe remains a promising release to build on Dior's growing reputation in luxury sneaker releases, following its other successors such as the B27 and Air Jordan's released last year.
In the exclusive, "Savoir Faire of the new Dior ID Sneakers" to accompany the release, Dior shares with us an intimate moment at the atelier, inviting us to take a glimpse into the process of the shoes creation. From the initial stages of sketching to engineering its finishing touches, the Maison proves to us once again that the new Dior ID Sneaker exhibits details that are only worthy of Dior's long line of artisanal craftsmanship and the fashion house's highly regarded reputation in luxury.
The new Dior ID Sneaker is available now in all Dior boutique stores.
