“Desire, allure, beauty in all forms, of reflection, power, emotions, complexities, protection and identity.” When artist and designer Dina Broadhurst set out to create a collection of her signature collages in collaboration with Westfield Chermside, this is what she wished to convey.

“The scale was something new to open my mind to and the layout of the centre and design as well as taking into account the exhibition to flow as a whole entity,” she says of the creative process behind the project, mixing photography, collage and 3D elements. Inspirations drawn from retailers, for which she created bespoke artworks, melded with those she keeps coming back to: “street finds, pictures, people, stories, music ... relationships and self-love and discovery.”

The exclusive exhibition can be viewed from April 6 at Westfield Chermside, Brisbane.
