Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson team up for ‘Die, My Love’

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson

Another day, another unexpected movie star pairing. This time, it's Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson sharing the screen, in an adaptation of the 2019 novel, Die, My Love. The duo might have first found fame in The Hunger Games and Twilight respectively, but don't expect their newest work to follow suit. Rather, die my love is slated as a thriller, and is set to deal with some pretty intense topics. All the important details, below.

Who is cast in Die, My Love?

Lawrence is on board to lead the cast, marking one of the few films she's taken on since her acting hiatus. In 2021, she starred opposite Leonardo Di Caprio in Don't Look Up, and then in Causeway in 2022. Perhaps most notably, just last year she headlined the hilarious and commercially successful, No Hard Feelings.

She's joined by Pattinson, whose next project to hit cinemas will be Mickey 17, a sci-fi thriller by Parasite director Bong Joon Ho. He's also currently filming A24's The Drama, opposite Zendaya.

Also cast is Lakeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte, though details of their roles remain relatively under wraps.

What is Die, My Love about?

The film's official synopsis reads: "Set in a remote forgotten rural area, Die My Love follows a mother (Lawrence) who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Pattinson plays her husband and Stanfield, her lover."

The plot derives from Ariana Harwicz critically acclaimed novel by the same name. The book charts the struggles of a new mother and wife living in the remote French countryside, who desperately grapples with the banality of her prescribed roles.

Who else is involved in Die, My Love?

The film is being directed Lynne Ramsay, who also worked on We Need To Talk About Kevin. Justine Ciarrocchi and Martin Scorsese are on board as producers.
