Former tattoo artist and current London transplant Magnus Reid worked in kitchens from young age in his native Australia. Previously at the helm of C.R.E.A.M coffee in Shoreditch and Rooftop Café in London Bridge, Reid has recently opened Legs; a 24-seat restaurant and wine bar in East London’s Hackney.

The small but exciting menu selection is an embodiment of ‘quality over quantity’; share plates laden with flavoursome, locally sourced produce that move with the seasons. The wine list is also compact but succinct, with bottles on a regular rotation and a deliberate focus on independent producers. As for the atmosphere: think communal bench seating, bright interiors and cool but cosy vibes opposite London’s new Hackney Walk fashion centre. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
