As the festive season creeps closer, we’re carefully scouring our favourite brands to shower our nearest and dearest. But shouldn’t you also show yourself some love this time of year?

The older we get, the less comfortable we are writing down a wish list and sending it off to our friends and family – but that doesn’t mean there aren’t pieces we’re lusting over. And, increasingly, it’s those luxury pieces we’re dreaming of – the sort that add a little je nai se quois to an already great outfit. From designer handbags and wallets, to shoes and eyewear, those extra special pieces are the perfect way to show a little love to arguably the most important person in your life: yourself.

Cosette 2In case you need more convincing, if your calendar is as packed as ours this silly season, there’s no better way to add a special touch to your existing wardrobe than with a new accessory. Rather than investing in countless new clothes for every occasion, a timeless pair of sunglasses or an extra special handbag works wonders to make the looks already in your rotation feel brand new.

And just because they come with a designer label, doesn’t mean they need an extortionate price tag to match. In fact, thanks to Australian retailer COSETTE, you can score a discount on some of the best designer pieces in Europe. Taking advantage of the opposite seasons in Australia and Europe, the retailer allows us to get our hands on pieces by the most sought-after brands, from Balenciaga to Bottega Veneta, long before they're on shelves Down Under.

Nothing says 'festive celebration' like Jacquemus' Le Bisou Perle Shoulder Bag in shimmering silver, or Valentino's Small Loco Shoulder bag with 3D Embroidery in Antique Green.  Or, if you're looking to invest in the kind of gift-to-self you'll love this season and beyond, there's a plethora of classic styles to peruse, from Stella McCartney's Falabella Fold-Over Tote Bag, to Chloé's iconic Woody Tote Bag.

Ready to show yourself some love? Head to the COSETTE website to shop the full collection.

How does COSETTE work?

COSETTE takes advantage of a secondary market to supply luxury goods at favourable price points.

COSETTE’s business model is to purchase goods on the secondary market at a discount, and lawfully importing the goods to Australia under parallel importing rules and as permitted by the Trade Marks Act 1995 (Cth).

This compares to buying directly from the brand owners as a licensee of the brand owner on the primary market. Licensees operating in the primary market have limited price decision-making authority (as a means of preserving brand image). By purchasing on the secondary market, COSETTE can discount at will.
